For Honor is a game I knew nothing about a few weeks ago. After watching the For Honor Preview below, I was sold.
A More Polished Chivalry?
You see when I first heard of Chivalry: Medieval Warfare from a friend a while back, I was mega excited. A medieval melee based multiplayer experience, where I can dismember opponents and hack them to pieces with a massive broadsword?! Hell yes!
However after purchasing and downloading Chivalry from Steam the reality was a lot less awesome than the dream. The game was clunky and frustrating as hell, so I packed it in quickly and filed it in my “sucks too much to bother with again” pile.
Based on the video above, I can tell you all that For Honor certainly looks a lot better than Chivalry.
Knights vs. Vikings vs. Samurai
Players will be able to chose one of the three factions and battle it out in a variety of bloody combat scenarios. Each faction will feature it’s own armour, weapons and play style. It is said that each faction will have their own named heroes that the player will be able to use, though those heroes haven’t been unveiled yet.
The game is set against a historic backdrop, so it won’t delve too deep into fantasy I assume.
Not Just Multiplayer
Ubisoft have said that the game will also feature a full single player campaign, and plenty of AI opponents to defeat in multiplayer.
